Shared experience is what brings a community together. Creating with our hands, learning new things, and enjoying time outdoors is good for the soul. This is what the Luna Zorro Studio experience is about - we love to bring people together to create memories. Discover our traditional weaving, natural plant dyes, and creative, hands-on classes and workshops taught by Maya artisans and local artists.
In our beginner-friendly Embroidery Workshop led in collaboration with Fueguita Studio, participants are introduced to the fundamentals of embroidery through a slow, hands-on process. Working with needle and thread, you’ll learn foundational stitches while creating a personal design—stitching symbols, words, or imagery onto a thrifted shirt to transform it into something uniquely your own.
Taking place the day before Mother’s Day, this workshop offers a thoughtful way to spend time together or gift a shared creative experience for mothers and daughters.
Materials Included: All embroidery materials will be provided. Each participant will leave with a piece in progress, along with the knowledge to continue and complete it at home.
In the Loom Weaving Workshop led by master artisan Doña Lidia, students are introduced to traditional loom techniques passed down through generations. Working closely with Doña Lidia, participants will learn how to prepare the loom and begin weaving their own textile, guided step by step through the process.
We recommend a minimum of four participants to ensure a collaborative and immersive experience.
Materials Included: All weaving materials and loom setup will be provided. Each student will leave with a small woven textile sample created during the session.
