Jessie Mordine Young Woven Frame Workshop

from $70.00

Luna Zorro Studio is hosting an extra special in-person Small Woven Wall Hanging Workshop hoested by Jessie Mordine Young, Textile artist & educator based in NYC, on Tuesday 9 March, 2026.

During this exciting event, students will learn the basics of frame loom weaving from warping the loom, to drafting a design, and basic tapestry techniques. Jessie will demonstrate how to work with a variety of flowers and leaves to create one-of-a-kind botanical weavings and will assist students in developing their own piece through every step of the process.

Students will leave this class with a small wall-hanging or “woven drawing”. This is a beginner workshop, but all skill levels are welcome. All materials are provided, and students will take home their frame looms to continue weaving independently.

Please note that there are 3 pricing options:

  • $95 for an individual purchase - for one attendee.

  • $70 Donation Purchase - If you’re unable to attend the workshop but would like to support access, this donation covers the cost for a student from El Patojismo - a Guatemala-based nonprofit nurturing creativity and learning for children and youth from underserved communities - to participate in the workshop.

  • $165 for a Donation Purchase AND Individual ticket. This supporter option is for an individual space and also reserves a space forfor an aspiring young artist from El Patojismo.

We are extremely proud that 1% of our annual sales is donated to the incredible organization. Every Mother Counts, which seeks to ensure that childbirth is safe, respectful, and equitable for everyone, everywhere.

A further 1% supports Pro Eco Azuero, a nonprofit working to preserve biodiversity and promote sustainable land use in Panama through community-led conservation and reforestation efforts.
