Itinerary Details

  • Upon landing in Guatemala City, you'll be escorted to a charming boutique hotel in Antigua. After settling in, we'll gather for a rooftop sunset drink with a panoramic view of three volcanoes.

Following that, we'll enjoy a welcome dinner at a nearby restaurant, savoring locally-sourced cuisine on a tropical patio. Then, we'll stroll back through the cobblestone streets for a good night's rest before our first full day together

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we'll head to Luna Zorro, our modern textile studio located within a 150-year-old coffee farm that works to preserve Maya weaving techniques.

The day starts with a floor loom workshop hosted by two master weavers who will guide you in creating your very own piece.

Then, we'll enjoy a farm-to-table local cuisine lunch with Wild Daughter. In the afternoon, you'll participate in a dye workshop where you'll learn to use plants and natural ingredients to create beautiful pieces.

In the evening, explore Antigua at your pace!

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we'll explore a private estate-turned-museum with the world's largest collection of Guatemalan art.

Next, we'll head to our favorite sustainable farm for a fresh garden lunch in Antigua's lush surroundings.

Afterwards, you’ll have some free time to explore the city on your own.

In the early evening, join a traditional cuisine cooking class making corn tortillas, tamales, and the traditional dish Pepian.

  • A day for adventure, we'll embark on a day trip from Antigua to Chichicastenango after an early hotel breakfast.

Explore the vibrant textile market around the Santo Tomas church, discovering vintage textile vendors, jewelry spots, and antique ceramics.

After a traditional lunch, we'll return to Antigua in the afternoon. Enjoy free time exploring the city before our final group dinner at a favorite local restaurant with family-style food and specialty cocktails.

  • Our final morning together, we’ll enjoy breakfast on the rooftop of our hotel before saying our goodbyes and leaving for Guatemala City Airport.

  • Luna Zorro creates magical experiences, period. My trip to Guatemala City and Antigua was perfectly curated with a combination of the best culinary experiences, exposure to local artists and humanitarian advocates as well the history, culture and textile craftsmanship of the local people.

    Beth Whiteley

  • I've been on many trips and retreats but my experience with Molly and Luna Zorro has been over the top. You can visit Guatemala and enjoy the experience because it is a beautiful and culturally rich location but visiting with Luna Zorro and experiencing it through Molly's love and eyes is like visiting with your best friend.

Additional Information

  • Our curated trips are especially unique and designed away from cookie-cutter tours. We typically host guests who are looking for something truly transformational. Travelers who want comfort but who aren’t shy about getting out of their comfore zone a bit. Travelers who don’t want to be treated as a tourist, but as a friend. We strongly believe that travel has the power to bring us together over shared experience in ways that transcend gender, politics, age, and economic status. We want our guests to return home inspired and energized by the company of other likeminded people who value meaningful human connections.

The best suited traveler for our trips is someone who enjoys both luxury and authenticity, attention to detail and also the thrill of the unexpected. Someone who is a little more adventurous and self-sufficient who will make the trip their own, outside of the unique itinerary we build and guide you along. We provide blocks of free time so you have the flexibility to explore the destination your way because we understand that everyone is different. We will make sure you are equipped with a curated list of all our favorite places to explore, shop and eat.

  • This curated trip is considered a boutique travel experience. Not super high end luxury, but definitely not budget travel. We care deeply about how we invest in tourism in Guatemala and aim to work with hotels, restaurant and partners who have a positive social impact and a true understanding of how to take care of clients. We set high expectations for hospitality and how we can support our clients to have a deeply authentic, thoughtful, safe and fun trip. We love great style and design but we also get excited about off-the-beaten-path experiences that are super unique and which aren’t always perfectly polished or cookie cutter. We pride ourselves on showing you the best of what Guatemala has to offer, while honoring it’s culture, people and history.

The drive from La Aurora Airport to Antigua is approximately 1.5 hours.

  • Luna Zorro does not handle or purchase flights and is unable to make changes to traveler itineraries before and after the scheduled trip dates. That said, we wil be responsible for all details of your itinerary the moment you land in Guatemala, starting with a private pick up at the airport.

More information will be given post booking on how we can support you should you experience any delays or issues. If your return/outbound flight is altered at the beginning or end of your trip, we will do our best to support you.

  • We always encourage our travelers to add on a few days before or after the trip to experience more of the region. Please let us know if you plan to extend your adventures and we can offer some suggestions of activities or places to stay that won’t be on our itinerary.
