Luna Zorro Studio is hosting an extra special in-person Small Woven Wall Hanging Workshop hosted by Jessie Mordine Young, Textile artist & educator based in NYC, on Monday 8 March, 2026.
Join us for a 4-hour immersive workshop where you'll create your own woven shoulder bag or market tote. Perfect for beginners and weaving enthusiasts, this hands-on session offers a chance to explore 3-dimensional weaving techniques while crafting a functional, beautiful form. Guided by textile artist and educator Jessie Mordine Young, you'll learn the essentials of weaving and transform your creative vision into a tangible piece. Using recycled cotton cord, you'll produce a durable, flexible bag in your choice of colors, making it uniquely yours.
This is a beginner workshop, but all skill levels are welcome. All materials are provided, and students will take home their frame looms to continue weaving independently.
Please note that there are 3 pricing options:
$105 for an individual purchase - for one attendee.
$80 Donation Purchase - If you’re unable to attend the workshop but would like to support access, this donation covers the cost for a student from El Patojismo - a Guatemala-based nonprofit nurturing creativity and learning for children and youth from underserved communities - to participate in the workshop.
$165 for a Donation Purchase AND Individual ticket. This supporter option is for an individual space and also reserves a space forfor an aspiring young artist from El Patojismo.
