Have you ever heard of the incredible market place for designers know as Minted?
Minted was founded in 2007 by worldly girlboss, Mariam Naficy (featured below). The concept emerged when Mariam was struck by the idea that there was hidden creative talent around the world whose work was not accessible to consumers. She believed that the Internet could help surface these hidden talents. Her founding question: could crowd-sourcing design build an e-commerce company that stayed in tune with its consumer audience forever?
What has grown since 2007 is remarkable.
I was recently invited to be a part of the The Minted 50 - a series of 50 creative projects over 50 consecutive days by 50 artists and creatives. The Minted 50 is partnered with Van’s General Store (VGS), the creative agency headed by Scott Carlson and Liev Schreiber, and VGS’s longtime friend and collaborator Andy Spade, creative leader and co-founder of Partners & Spade.
